Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met. This position requires strong leadership skills and a dedication to fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the daily activities of both licensed and unlicensed nursing personnel.
  • Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and manage billing for supplies utilized in patient care.
  • Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and assign tasks to unlicensed staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to care standards.
  • Conduct compliance rounds and address any relevant issues that arise.
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
  • Monitor physician services and ensure proper documentation of visits in accordance with regulations.
  • Provide training and support to nursing staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Respond to patient and family concerns, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • Maintain effective communication across departments to promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process for nursing staff, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with licensure standards and participate in the survey process.
  • Implement quality assurance and infection control programs to enhance patient safety.
  • Exhibit servant leadership and uphold the reputation of CHSGa through professional conduct.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited institution and hold an active RN License in the State of Georgia.

  • Ability to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role includes oversight of unlicensed nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and protocols.
