Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated RN Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met. This role involves collaborating with a skilled team and providing leadership in a non-profit healthcare setting.

Compensation:

Competitive pay ranging from $40 to $47 per hour, with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing activities for both licensed and unlicensed staff.
  • Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and billing for supplies utilized.
  • Coordinate necessary hospital transfers for patients.
  • Maintain effective communication with attending physicians and nursing staff.
  • Assist in the care planning and MDS process, participating in committee meetings as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and assist in the follow-up of consultant recommendations.
  • Provide training and education to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Address and resolve complaints or grievances from patients and their families.
  • Foster positive inter-departmental communication to strengthen working relationships.
  • Conduct rounds to ensure patient care and cleanliness are upheld.
  • Implement and oversee educational programs, infection control measures, and quality assurance initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Nursing Degree from an accredited institution or completion of an approved RN program.
  • Active RN License to practice in the State of Georgia.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to engage positively with patients, families, and team members.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position includes oversight of unlicensed nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and protocols.
