Position: Lead Systems Architect

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Security Clearance: Active Secret Required

This role involves supporting a critical U.S. Government initiative aimed at the design, development, and maintenance of a sophisticated network operations framework. The focus is on integrating advanced cyber capabilities to counteract evolving threats.

The Lead Systems Architect will possess extensive knowledge across a diverse range of technologies, including but not limited to AWS, SIEM, firewalls, web application firewalls, VPNs, DNS, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, and proxies. This position is responsible for the development of security systems tailored for both manual and automated environments, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of mission-critical data.

The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing various tools and technologies to troubleshoot complex security challenges. They will apply analytical and logical reasoning to the design, architecture, development, evaluation, testing, and integration of computer systems and networks, particularly in relation to CyberSecurity tools in a hybrid environment. Key soft skills include attention to detail, integrity, innovative problem-solving, and the ability to perform under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI preferred.
  • Capability to obtain DHS suitability prior to employment.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production setting.
  • Familiarity with Federated Identity, RBAC, and authentication & authorization solutions.
  • Proficient in secure-cloud configurations and cloud-security technologies.
  • Experience with security tools such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, and endpoint security.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Knowledge of network protection devices including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
  • Manage technology roadmaps and provide recommendations based on best practices.
  • Support system accreditation efforts by generating RMF artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with security analytics tools and technologies.
  • Understanding of DoDAF and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).

Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering is required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree-level education.
