Salary Range: $57,218-$71,000

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair Department of Defense (DoD) computing devices and workstations, both networked and standalone.

2. Address routine user issues related to computers or application software.

3. Provide direct or remote assistance to users for hardware and software issues concerning network and desktop systems.

4. Support F/A-18 & EA-18G Laboratory users by diagnosing IT challenges and proposing effective solutions.

5. Oversee and manage the communication and internal networks within the Labs, including the creation of software and database applications.

6. Install new software, enforce security protocols, ensure system backups, and monitor network performance.

7. Offer suggestions for enhancing Lab Systems Administration processes.

8. Demonstrate technical and operational expertise in IT responsibilities. Proactively implement projects and initiatives within the Labs IT framework.

9. Conduct IT vulnerability patching and remediation efforts.

10. Collaborate with the Enterprise Services Team on joint system requirements for site network repairs or upgrades.

11. Execute test support functions and maintain the Secure Defense Research & Engineering Network platform.

Required Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A High School diploma accompanied by 4 years of relevant experience is required. An associate degree with 1 year of direct experience may also be acceptable for this role.

Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems is necessary.

Experience with Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2012/2016 is required. Windows Operating System Certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Security + certification or an equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.

Must obtain and maintain a COMSEC briefing and certification.

Physical ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods, including kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Windows servers, OpenVMS, and Linux systems, particularly Debian or Red Hat, is desirable.
