Position Overview

This opportunity is with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), in collaboration with WayUp to attract skilled professionals.

The RF Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and testing of RF hardware, software, and associated equipment for various programs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop RF specifications and requirements.
  • Assist in the design and development of RF systems.
  • Familiarity with missile systems is preferred, encompassing missile guidance, RF sensors, control systems, airframe models, and communication technologies.
  • Utilize analytical methods to execute tasks effectively.
  • Employ data and configuration management systems to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Create experimental test matrices and support technical evaluations.
  • Document designs, testing procedures, and results comprehensively.
  • Interpret and analyze electronic schematics and drawings for the maintenance and repair of complex electronic systems.
  • Generate and maintain various documentation types, including schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, maintenance logs, and standard operating procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Adhere to established security and information assurance protocols.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MATLAB and the ability to modify scripts as necessary.
  • Possess basic knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Core Competencies:
  • Understanding of RF signal chains and analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems, including missile guidance and RF sensor technologies.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong technical writing skills for report generation and presentations.
  • Effective communication and critical thinking abilities.

Salary Range:

Minimum: $91,000
Maximum: $141,000
