Position Overview

The RF Systems Technician will be responsible for assisting in the design, analysis, integration, and testing of RF hardware, software, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate RF specifications and requirements.
  2. Assist in the development and support of RF signal chains.
  3. Conduct RF calibration and testing procedures.
  4. Identify and procure commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment.
  5. Integrate and operate COTS equipment, analyzing lab data to ensure optimal functionality.
  6. Create scripts and tools to facilitate testing and analysis.
  7. Develop experimental test matrices for comprehensive evaluation.
  8. Document design processes, testing protocols, and results.
  9. Utilize analytical troubleshooting techniques for facility maintenance.
  10. Examine AC/DC circuits, synchros, servos, and both analog and digital circuits to ensure the integrity of complex electronic systems.
  11. Interpret electronic schematics and drawings for effective repair and maintenance.
  12. Employ appropriate methods and tools for the fabrication and upkeep of electrical and electronic systems.
  13. Update and maintain documentation including schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and operational procedures.
  14. Work from preliminary engineering sketches to modify and sustain intricate electrical systems.
  15. Design and implement test setups for evaluating complex electronic equipment performance.
  16. Adhere to established security and information assurance protocols.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of RF signal chains.
  • Proficient in the use of RF laboratory equipment.
  • Foundational knowledge of radar and receiver systems.
  • Basic skills in RF signal analysis.
  • Strong technical writing abilities for reports and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience: 4-7 years in a related field.
