Position Overview

The RF Systems Technician will be responsible for assisting in the design, analysis, integration, and testing of RF hardware, software, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop RF specifications and requirements.
  • Support and enhance RF chain development.
  • Execute RF calibration processes.
  • Identify and procure commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment.
  • Integrate and operate COTS equipment, analyzing lab data to ensure proper functionality.
  • Create scripts and tools for data analysis.
  • Design and implement experiment test matrices.
  • Document design processes, testing procedures, and results.
  • Conduct analytical troubleshooting of RF facilities.
  • Analyze AC/DC circuits, synchros, servos, and both analog and digital circuits to maintain sophisticated electronic systems.
  • Interpret electronic schematics and drawings for the repair and maintenance of complex electronic devices.
  • Utilize appropriate methods, materials, and tools for the fabrication, construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Modify, repair, and maintain intricate electrical systems based on preliminary engineering sketches and incomplete documentation.
  • Design and set up test benches for evaluating complex electronic equipment performance, including specialized test equipment for radio frequency and other electronic circuits.
  • Adhere to standard security and information assurance protocols.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of RF signal chains.
  • Proficient in using RF laboratory equipment.
  • Fundamentals of radar and receiver technologies.
  • Basic skills in RF signal analysis.
  • Strong technical writing abilities, including report writing and brief generation.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience Required: 4-7 years in a related field.
