Position Overview:

The House Manager at Adelbrook Community Services Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of residential programs, ensuring adherence to behavioral plans, and managing various administrative tasks. This role involves direct supervision of care staff and the implementation of individualized service plans for residents.

  • Case Management: Act as the primary case manager for residents, ensuring that their documentation, needs, and goals align with agency standards and funding requirements.
  • Program Development: Create and implement in-home programs that promote the personal growth and development of each individual served.
  • Individualized Planning: Develop and submit Individual Program Plans tailored to the specific needs of residents.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure that staff maintain accurate and timely records consistently.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide direct oversight to assigned direct care staff, conducting monthly supervision sessions, performance evaluations, and necessary training.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate the execution of Individual Program Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and Nursing Protocols.
  • Staff Management: Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of staff in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and community members.
  • Program Coordination: Organize day programs and manage the scheduling of staff providing individualized services.
  • Budget Compliance: Ensure adherence to the budgetary guidelines of the residential program.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Provide on-call support during overnight, weekend, and weekday shifts as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits of program documentation to verify compliance with established standards.
  • Deliverable Management: Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, while a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or complex behavioral needs. Additionally, at least two years of supervisory experience in a similar environment is necessary. A positive demeanor and sound judgment are essential for success in this role.
