Job Summary:
The successful candidate will report to the Loan Originations Manager and will be tasked with the acquisition and processing of residential mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit and originate both conventional and government-backed residential mortgages.
- Promote mortgage programs and banking services to real estate professionals, builders, and potential clients.
- Develop an annual sales strategy that outlines key accounts and prospective leads.
- Conduct regular outreach to targeted accounts to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Collaborate with community banking teams and loan support personnel to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Engage with outreach officers to extend mortgage services to underserved areas and individuals.
- Provide guidance to clients on suitable mortgage options based on their financial profiles.
- Evaluate customer eligibility and assess loan risk through comprehensive analysis.
- Manage the loan application process from initiation to closing, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional bank services and refer clients to appropriate departments.
Performance Metrics:
- Achieve annual sales targets ranging from $9 to $12 million.
- Maintain a referral network of 15 to 25 accounts as outlined in the sales strategy.
- Ensure a monthly loan closing average of $750,000.
Accountabilities:
- Implement effective sales techniques and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of customer credit profiles to determine qualifications.
- Represent Liberty Bank at industry events to enhance brand visibility.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and internal policies, including those related to fair lending and consumer protection.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with strong language, reasoning, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with conventional and government loan programs, as well as secondary market guidelines.
- Two years of sales experience and proficiency in computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate general office equipment and travel as necessary.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs.
