Job Summary:
Community Residences is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our clients, promoting their independence, and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Care: Develop and implement individualized programs to meet the unique needs of our clients, focusing on social, emotional, and physical development.
- Program Implementation: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify client needs and develop strategies to address them, ensuring a seamless and effective program delivery.
- Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, needs, and any barriers to progress, ensuring timely reporting to the Day Program Manager or Program RN.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and a culture of respect.
- Community Integration: Plan and facilitate community-based outings, promoting socialization and independence among our clients.
- Professional Development: Participate in mandatory training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related Human Services field or Associate's degree with one year of experience.
- Training and Certification: First Aid, CPR, and PMT certification, with the ability to obtain CPR and FA within 45 days of hire.
- Qualifications: Good to excellent oral and written communication skills, thoroughness, and follow-through on daily work assignments, motivation, and interest in improving the quality of life for our clients.
Work Schedule: Sunday 7AM-3PM, Monday 3PM-11PM
