About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Kaman. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the internal maintenance operations of program equipment, as well as performing layout, installation, repair, modification, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all maintenance mechanic operations to ensure continual operation of equipment and facility.
  • Act as a troubleshooter and repair equipment, resolving problems or referring them to the appropriate individual.
  • Perform preventive maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding, and honing equipment.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns of equipment to minimize production loss.
  • Inspect equipment to evaluate conditions that could lead to production breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Report safety incidents to the supervisor.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes and contribute to the 5S program in the work area.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers and contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, participate in training/learning other positions, and accomplish related results as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 3 to 5 years of direct maintenance and repair experience on automated manufacturing machinery, including CNC
  • Experience in a Machine Shop/Manufacturing environment
