Position Overview
Union County Human Services is seeking a dedicated Case Manager II for our Children Services Division.

Under the general oversight of the Children Services Supervisor, Deputy Director, or Director, this role involves assisting caseworkers in delivering comprehensive case management services to children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or dependency, along with their families. Responsibilities include providing supportive services, transporting children and families, supervising visitations, assessing the needs of children and families, and preparing necessary documentation for agency records and court proceedings.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as public administration, human services, psychology, criminology, human resources, social work, or education is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Licensure or Certification: A valid Ohio driver's license is mandatory, and candidates must maintain insurability under the County's vehicle insurance policy.

Knowledge:
Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations related to social services and child protection; interviewing techniques; child safety evaluations; child protection data systems; organizational goals and policies; workplace safety; office procedures; and basic mathematics.

Skills:
Proficiency in word processing, computer operation, modern office equipment usage, data entry, organizational skills, writing, oral communication, and customer service.

Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions in various formats; address complex problems; identify and respond to unusual or hazardous situations; draw valid conclusions; conduct interviews; prepare precise documentation; maintain records according to established guidelines; communicate effectively with diverse audiences; comprehend various forms of communication; exercise independent judgment; act as an expert witness; compile and prepare reports; gather and classify information; foster effective working relationships with stakeholders; perform job duties safely; and maintain a flexible schedule.
