Job Summary
Essex County College seeks a part time Office Assistant to provide direct secretarial and administrative support to the Enrollment Services office. The Office Assistant will work under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment Services or designee, providing front counter support, addressing inquiries from students and faculty, and performing other related duties.
Key Responsibilities
Answer telephone inquiries and direct calls accordingly to the appropriate department or contact person.
Provide accurate information to address inquiries.
Assist in troubleshooting admissions related tasks.
Provide front counter support and address inquiries from students and faculty.
Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize assignments.
Working knowledge of computer applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree.
One or more years' experience in a higher education institution.
Demonstrated knowledge of Banner.
