Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Representative to join our team at SCA Health. As a key member of our business office, you will play a critical role in supporting the facility by performing various business office functions, including medical records, credentialing, admissions, accounts payable, billing, collections, insurance verification, and transaction posting.

Your primary responsibility will be to schedule surgeries in our computer system, handle calls from physician offices, and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed for registration. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly surgery scheduling area, verifying scheduled cases, and contacting patients with financial responsibilities to inform them of our payment policies and options.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of three years of experience in healthcare, and a minimum of one year of experience in surgery scheduling procedures. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, have a basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities, and possess the ability to handle stress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various business office functions, including medical records, credentialing, admissions, accounts payable, billing, collections, insurance verification, and transaction posting.
  • Schedule surgeries in our computer system and handle calls from physician offices.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed for registration and maintain a clean and orderly surgery scheduling area.
  • Verify scheduled cases and contact patients with financial responsibilities to inform them of our payment policies and options.
  • Perform various clerical duties, such as photocopying forms, reports, and patient information, mailing surveys, preparing patient charts, faxing forms, and retrieving faxes as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in healthcare and minimum of one year of experience in surgery scheduling procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle stress.

Compensation:

USD $16.00/Hr. - USD $24.50/Hr.
