Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an Electronics Testing Specialist on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will be tasked with evaluating electronic hardware, diagnosing issues, and maintaining thorough documentation.

  • Location: Rancho Bernardo, Ca
  • Pay: $24-30 per hour based on experience
  • Length: Contractual position for 4-6 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes technical expertise to conduct PCB/CCA electrical assessments on digital, analog, RF, and mixed signal equipment.
  • Adheres to and documents schematics, bills of materials, operational instructions, and testing protocols as required.
  • Measures and logs performance metrics using tools such as multimeters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Identifies test failures down to the component level and replaces components or wiring as necessary, adhering to IPC standards.
  • Operates within a quality management framework, documenting test outcomes and managing the lifecycle of documentation.
  • Monitors the calibration certifications of equipment.
  • Collaborates with engineering teams while working under minimal supervision.
  • Communicates the status of ongoing testing activities to the immediate supervisor.
  • Supports organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in hardware testing at the component level.
  • Proficient in the use of soldering irons, multimeters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and apply technical skills effectively.
  • May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
