Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct production and developmental tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of RF Passive and Active electronic hardware, with a significant emphasis on thin film technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance validation for flight hardware associated with Power & Controls Sub-Systems, RF Systems, and Spacecraft Systems.
  • Execute intricate electrical, mechanical, and environmental configurations.
  • Facilitate spacecraft and antenna instrumentation tasks.
  • Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) assessments.
  • Support vibration and shock testing procedures.
  • Carry out in-process quality inspections during integrated setups and performance validation sequences.
  • Operate thermal vacuum chambers while conducting electrical verification of hardware.
  • Manage complex electrical configurations, quality inspections, and product performance validation during flight unit level vibration tests.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairs on thermal vacuum chambers designated for flight hardware.
  • May operate vibration testing equipment as needed.
  • Provide training to peers and may be required to offer leadership as necessary.
  • Utilize microscopes, laboratory equipment, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM) to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
  • Program and operate the Manufacturing Defect Analysis System, interpreting results, troubleshooting issues, and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborate with Design and Test Engineers to address troubleshooting efforts and assist in identifying resolutions.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Associate's degree, Electronics Technician Certificate, or completion of Military Electronics training. Two additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in electronics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Capability to utilize small hand tools for measuring and testing electronic devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Experience as a Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician (ET) or Electrician's Mate (EM).
