Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Specialist to join our team at Adams and Associates, Inc. As a Career Development Specialist, you will be responsible for applicant recruitment and arrival coordination, identifying and developing Center-beneficial partnerships, and ensuring strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and coordinate the arrival of applicants, providing transitional support and placement services leading to quality full-time jobs, military enlistment, or enrollment in higher education or Job Corps advanced training.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies, employment services, high schools, trade and technical schools, and other agencies to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program.
  • Conduct comprehensive screening procedures to determine applicants' eligibility for the Job Corps Program, securing and evaluating applicants' behavioral, medical, and educational records.
  • Provide career counseling and conduct thorough assessment activities during the admissions process, serving as a Center Liaison to facilitate a seamless enrollment process and early student retention.
  • Work closely with community agencies and local businesses to develop and maintain referral linkages for prospective enrollments and post-training placement opportunities.
  • Conduct Academy campus tours, pre-arrival visits, and Parent meetings, producing quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards, understanding and applying job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school.
  • Two years related experience in youth programs.
  • Valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
