Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Career Advisor Trainee to join our team at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As a Career Advisor Trainee, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to job seekers and employers in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional employment services to job seekers and employers to advance employment opportunities in the commonwealth.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance workforce development activities and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address employment needs and opportunities.
  • Conduct group and individual intake services to job seekers and employers.
  • Develop and conduct workshops, presentations, and orientations to services.
  • Acquire experience in planning and conducting group and individual career counseling and coaching on resume-writing, interviewing, job search, networking, and other topics.

Requirements:

  • Four years of public contact work that involved interviewing the public to obtain, provide, and evaluate information concerning employment or employability; or a bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
