Job Title: Dental Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Care Specialist to join our team at Resources For Human Development. As a Dental Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to our patients, including examining teeth and mouths, analyzing x-rays, and treating teeth and tissue problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat patients in accordance with accepted treatment standards
  • Examine patients' teeth and mouths
  • Analyze x-rays and evaluate dental needs
  • Treat teeth and tissue problems using equipment and tools
  • Maintain an acceptable level of visit productivity
  • Provide instructions on dental care and administer medication and prescriptions
  • Maintain electronic patient records and check for accurate charting and progress notes
  • Provide instruction and support to dental staff
  • Participate in continuing education and stay up-to-date with the latest dental public health practices

Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania state licensed dentist with a degree from an ADA-approved dental school
  • Current Dental license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Federal DEA Certificate
  • HEP B vaccination
  • Excellent attitude and patient-friendly demeanor
  • Interest in and commitment to public health dentistry
  • Ongoing involvement in community outreach and education

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to loud noise

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to get to and from work and walk throughout the community during the shift
  • Access to reliable transportation or ability to walk
