Job Title: Program Specialist

The Program Specialist position at Resources For Human Development is a vital role that requires a unique blend of administrative, staff support, and client support skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and growth of individuals in our program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, complete paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner, and participate in audits to ensure license requirements are met.
  • Staff Support: Train direct care staff in individual support plans and mentor them in day-to-day implementation and documentation.
  • Client Support: Create an environment that empowers individuals through skill development and resource coordination, ensure medical services are scheduled according to regulations, and create individualized support plans (ISPs) to meet consumer needs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university (Special Education desired) and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
  • Skills: Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to complete reporting requirements, maintain client files, and coordinate community resources.
  • Physical Requirements: Stand or sit for extended periods, walk, use hands or fingers to handle objects, climb stairs or ladders, talk or hear, see, push or pull, and reach or kneel.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to fumes, extreme heat, dust, burn hazards, wet or humid environments, extreme cold, confined spaces, loud noises, mechanical hazards, mists or gases, electrical hazards, and chemical hazards.
