Position Overview:
The Pre-Access Representative plays a crucial role in the healthcare process by managing the scheduling of patients for both elective and urgent care appointments. This position collaborates closely with the Prior Authorization team to ensure that all necessary authorizations are secured prior to patient visits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments efficiently for patients seeking outpatient and inpatient services.
- Pre-register patients by gathering essential demographic and insurance details.
- Communicate important visit information to patients, including preparation instructions and check-in times.

Focus Areas:
This role emphasizes understanding patient needs, optimizing the use of hospital resources, and maximizing insurance benefits for both the patient and the organization.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in registration or scheduling.
- Experience with third-party payers is preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of Medical Terminology.
- Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Windows and desktop applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to think critically and resolve problems effectively.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $25.41
