Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Access Representative to join our team. As a key member of our patient access department, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient experiences from scheduling to registration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patients for elective and urgent appointments, ensuring timely and efficient access to care.
- Collaborate with Prior Authorization staff to secure necessary authorizations, guaranteeing that patients receive the necessary approvals for their appointments.
- Pre-register patients by collecting demographic and insurance information, streamlining the registration process for both outpatient and inpatient services.
- Notify patients of essential visit information, including patient preps and check-in times, to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.
- Focus on patient needs, optimize hospital resources, and maximize insurance benefits for patients and the organization.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of prior registration/scheduling experience.
- 3rd party payer experience preferred.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Demonstrated typing ability of 40 wpm.
- Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Demonstrated logic and critical thinking for problem resolution.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
Pay Range: $25.47
