Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patients for elective and urgent appointments, ensuring timely and efficient access to care.
  • Collaborate with Prior Authorization staff to secure necessary authorizations, guaranteeing that patients receive the necessary approvals for their appointments.
  • Pre-register patients by collecting demographic and insurance information, streamlining the registration process for both outpatient and inpatient services.
  • Notify patients of essential visit information, including patient preps and check-in times, to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.
  • Focus on patient needs, optimize hospital resources, and maximize insurance benefits for patients and the organization.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of prior registration/scheduling experience.
  • 3rd party payer experience preferred.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Demonstrated typing ability of 40 wpm.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated logic and critical thinking for problem resolution.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.

Pay Range: $25.47
