Intake Department Manager

Job Summary:
The Intake Department Manager will oversee the daily operations of the intake department, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for patients and staff. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage staff and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Staff Management: Provide guidance and support to intake staff, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Department Operations: Oversee the daily flow of the intake department, including managing staff schedules, monitoring patient flow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments and external facilities to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Problem-Solving and Resolution: Assist in resolving complaints and grievances related to the admissions process, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree required, with a minimum of two years' experience in healthcare admissions or patient access, and supervisory or lead experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage staff and prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of electronic medical record software, insurance providers, and medical terminology is preferred.
