Job Summary

Nova Southeastern University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grant Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned staff, designing and developing program components, and evaluating the effectiveness of program meeting goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of staff, including hiring, mentoring, and training, as well as conducting performance evaluations and other employee-related actions.
  • Develop and implement program components, including curricula, research, and public relations support.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of program components and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets, including ensuring adherence to federal, local, and state guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including monthly and quarterly reports, to ensure timely information is available for management use.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and monitoring sessions, as well as procurement and distribution of program supplies.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure the grant's mission and goals are being met.
  • Oversee data entry, electronic health record abstracts, and assist with collecting and managing surveys to track trainee employment information.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Principal Investigator and other team members with complex travel arrangements and exhibit requirements.
  • Coordinate student travel arrangements and reimbursements.
  • Travel off-site for trainings, meetings, technical assistance, monitoring, and events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years' experience managing grants, including performing and presenting research, mentoring students/residents, budgeting, and supervising staff.
  • Master's degree or above preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. The position may require working nights or weekends, and may be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
