Position Overview:

Job Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Housing Manager, the Housing Grants Administrator will undertake specialized professional and supervisory duties that involve the management and oversight of various federal, state, and local grant initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and ensuring compliance with multiple grant programs.
- Monitoring adherence to specific regulations, objectives, and goals established by the grant programs.
- Supervising staff, assigning tasks, and resolving any issues that arise.
In emergency situations, essential employees may be required to work during declared emergencies, which may involve extended hours on short notice.
Key Duties:
The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including:
- Ensuring compliance with federal regulations such as the Davis Bacon Labor Act and Fair Housing standards.
- Assisting in the development and modification of policies to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
- Preparing essential reports and planning documents, including the HUD Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan.
- Tracking project accomplishments and generating necessary reports through HUD's Integrated Disbursement Information System.
- Assisting in budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies to promote affordable housing initiatives.
- Supervising team members and participating in staff recruitment and training.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field, along with five years of progressively responsible experience in relevant work, including supervisory experience. A Master's degree is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position may require various physical activities, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional requirements to interact with external stakeholders.
