Job Description

Program Manager

The 340B Program Manager plays a critical role in managing 340B regulations and compliance for all covered entities within Healthy MD. This position reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of the 340B program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all 340B regulations and implement applicable aspects of the Office of Pharmacy Affairs guidance.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the Health Management Department's subject matter expert for 340B compliance and performance.
  • Metrics Development: Develop metrics for program compliance monitoring for all covered entities.
  • Audit Oversight: Schedule and oversee internal and external 340B compliance audits.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain 340B program policies and procedures.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as the primary liaison for maintaining relations and accountability with assigned vendors.
  • Contract Reviews: Assist with 340B contract reviews and negotiations.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with affiliated departments (Compliance, Legal, Finance, IT, Pharmacy) to ensure 340B Program integrity.
  • External Relationships: Develop and maintain external relationships with Apexus, HRSA, wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, vendors, pharmacy benefit managers, and third-party administrators.
  • Staff Education: Provide ongoing education, training, and communications to all staff regarding 340B Program operations and compliance.
  • Policy Updates: Maintain knowledge of policy changes that impact the 340B program, including HRSA-OPA rules and Medicaid changes.
  • Financial Evaluation: Participate in end-of-month finance evaluations of 340B cost savings.
  • Clinical Services: Work with pharmacy leadership on the implementation of new and existing clinical services that generate 340B savings.
  • Travel: Flexibility to travel to covered 340B entities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Certification: Apexus 340B Certification.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in healthcare management, specifically related to 340B.
  • Skills: Strong customer service orientation skills, strong communication skills, full knowledge of Windows Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, basic understanding of computers, and strong problem resolution skills.
