Client Relations Specialist

Position Overview:
A Penske Client Relations Specialist is dedicated to collaborating with clients to arrange preventative maintenance services, manage external repairs, and effectively oversee the workshop schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate daily and weekly staffing strategies by considering client requirements, projected unscheduled repairs, availability of parts, technician expertise, and working hours to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Engage with clients as necessary for maintenance updates, including schedule modifications, billing inquiries, or to address service concerns.
Verify that parts are on hand for planned tasks.
Hold suppliers accountable for quality and timely completion of external work.
Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Maintain workshop efficiency by optimizing the work schedule.
Coordinate with district billing personnel as required.
Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years in customer service is required.
At least 1 year of practical mechanical experience is required.
Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred: 2 years in service department administration.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred: An Associate's Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
ASE certification is preferred.
Prior experience with service scheduling and diagnostic software is preferred.
The associate must understand and adhere to specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information set forth by Penske management.
The associate must perform all tasks in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance protocols; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
Willingness to travel as needed, work the designated schedule, complete the Penske employment application, undergo a background check (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening are mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
The physical and mental demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully execute the essential functions of this role.
While executing the duties of this position, the associate will be required to frequently move, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods throughout their scheduled work hours.
The associate is required to use their hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate necessary tools or controls.
The associate must be able to safely operate in all weather conditions.
Given the frequent movement of large vehicles in the workplace, the associate must possess the ability to see and hear to navigate the work environment safely.
The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
Schedule:
Must be prepared to work on weekends and holidays as necessary.
Compensation:
$25/hr. or $52,000/yr., with reviews every 4-6 months.
