Position Title: Lead Building Engineer

Job Overview:

As a Lead Building Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the preventive maintenance and repair of various facilities and systems. This role requires a keen understanding of building operations and the ability to work independently while monitoring system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies regarding building operations and safety.
  • Conduct inspections of critical building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to verify operational efficiency and compliance with design specifications.
  • Manage contracted services such as landscaping, snow removal, and cleaning, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
  • Review and prioritize work orders, estimating necessary time and materials for repairs and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Implement an energy management program aimed at optimizing system efficiency and minimizing operational costs.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience or trade school training.
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred, along with additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret instructions and present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in using computers for work order systems and communication.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy loads and climbing ladders.
