Position Overview

Senior Electrical Engineering Manager

This role is focused on delivering technical and design expertise for electrical engineering projects, aimed at generating construction documentation and specifications for our clientele. The individual will work closely with the Director of Electrical Engineering, with the potential for advancement to that role in the near future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the design initiatives for both large-scale and smaller projects
  • Coordinating design timelines and managing team members
  • Engaging directly with architects and clients
  • Assessing, selecting, and implementing engineering methodologies and standards for assigned projects
  • Providing mentorship to both senior and junior engineering staff
  • Leading the documentation of various reports and meeting summaries
  • Creating and supervising the development of design documents, including drawings and specifications
  • Willingness to travel for project needs on a national and international level
  • Ensuring Quality Control (QC) to maintain compliance with relevant codes, company standards, and project specifications
  • Acting as a technical advisor for planning, design, and construction across various facility types
  • Assisting in the evaluation of departmental resources and strategic planning
  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively
  • Taking charge of projects as the designated responsible individual

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Professional Engineer (PE) Registration and the capability to obtain licensure by comity in other states
  • Over 15 years of experience in Electrical Design, encompassing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, grounding, and coordination/arc flash studies
  • Comprehensive understanding of the National Electric Code
  • Strong familiarity with Building Codes, relevant NFPA Codes, and Energy Codes
  • Experience in sectors such as Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare, or Aviation is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD software
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team while managing multiple projects
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently to fulfill assignments
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a valid driver's license
  • LEED AP certification is a plus
