Your role will involve guiding and mentoring staff to deliver exceptional product quality and customer service, while effectively managing sales and operational costs during each shift. Adherence to established operational policies and procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Team Development

  • Provide training, coaching, and support to restaurant associates and shift leaders.
  • Participate in performance evaluations for associates and shift leaders.
  • Ensure all personnel policies, labor laws, and safety procedures are understood and followed by staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention efforts for associates and trainers.
  • Implement strategies to reduce employee turnover and enhance job satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage scheduling for staff members.
  • Maintain an updated communication board with vital information.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with associates and shift leaders.

Customer Engagement

  • Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
  • Uphold high standards for product quality, service speed, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Assign daily cleaning tasks and ensure follow-up to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Strictly enforce food safety standards and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with uniform policies.
  • Oversee back-of-house operations to meet quality standards.
  • Implement security and safety procedures effectively.

Sales Initiatives

  • Drive local marketing and promotional efforts to maximize sales opportunities.

Financial Management

  • Monitor and control assigned profit and loss line items.
  • Manage food costs, labor, waste, and cash handling during shifts.
  • Perform cash drawer counts and ensure adherence to cash handling protocols.
  • Update daily preparation sheets on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain inventory levels and place orders as necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work 40 to 50 hours per week.
  • Capable of standing or walking for 9-10 hours daily and sitting for 1-2 hours.
  • Must have stamina for frequent mobility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in various temperature environments.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic, high-volume restaurant environment.
