UCI Transportation and Distribution Services is responsible for all aspects of transportation planning, parking management, and mail services on campus. Your Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the activities of parking operations and enforcement personnel. Guide team members in completing tasks in accordance with established protocols, procedures, and policies. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of the functional responsibilities associated with the assigned area.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $63,800.00 - $75,000.00 annually.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively inspire and motivate team members toward achieving objectives. Build and maintain professional relationships with staff, peers, and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate program policies and procedures, actively listen, and provide guidance.
  • Solid understanding of parking operations and enforcement, with the ability to mentor staff. Familiarity with resource management principles and UC policies related to parking services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and execute plans to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in mentoring and advising team members. Actively support and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Knowledge of the California Vehicle Code.
  • Experience with UC parking policies and procedures or equivalent experience in transportation, parking management, public administration, or related fields.
  • Organizational skills to manage staff schedules and operational activities. Customer service focus to promptly address inquiries and resolve issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the transportation sector with knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Familiarity with traffic signage, barricading, and related equipment.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and hazards associated with traffic operations.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations related to traffic management.

Special Conditions:

  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • A valid California Driver's License is necessary, along with participation in the California DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Flexibility to work a variable 4/40 schedule, including nights and weekends.
