Position Overview:

The Sales Territory Manager is tasked with establishing and nurturing strong relationships with various customer stakeholders, advocating for company offerings, and driving new business opportunities.

This role is pivotal in enhancing sales and profitability by expanding the customer base within a designated territory and boosting sales from existing clients.

The individual will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities through current and prospective clients and managing the complete sales process from initiation to closure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Formulate medium to long-term sales strategies to cultivate, protect, and expand relationships with both existing and potential clients.
2. Identify potential leads within the assigned geographic area through research, networking, and outreach efforts.
3. Develop and execute a strategic growth plan focused on acquiring new business, fostering customer loyalty, and securing new clients.
4. Build and maintain robust customer relationships, acting as the primary contact and resolving issues promptly and collaboratively.
5. Engage with client contacts to initiate contract renewals, secure additional business, and ensure timely contract completion.
6. Create and deliver tailored, professional presentations to decision-makers to secure long-term partnership agreements, providing insights and consultative solutions.
7. Maintain a strong sales pipeline with consistent movement of prospects through the sales cycle.
8. Keep accurate records of sales activities, prospects, customer interactions, and communication logs within the CRM system.
9. Support customer implementations and continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in industry trade shows and conferences.
10. Stay informed about competitive dynamics and market conditions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in industrial sales and/or familiarity with related products and industries is advantageous.
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Experience in project management and/or new customer development is a plus.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present effectively to groups and demonstrate refined persuasion and sales skills.
Strong listening and interpersonal skills, along with exceptional negotiation abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform in high-pressure environments.
Comfortable with data analysis, including graphs, statistics, percentages, and ratios.
Willingness to travel up to 90%.
