Job Summary

The Senior Business Development Specialist is a key member of the CB&I team, responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, establishing long-term customer relationships, and promoting CB&I Storage Solutions' products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Central and South America region, with a focus on securing small to medium-sized contracts (up to US$15MM) and managing multiple project bids simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, fostering a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Interface with clients on all project-related correspondence, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Actively seek to increase the number and quality of contacts among customers and other market influencers at a management level.
  • Identify and develop new product and market opportunities through early involvement in the selling cycle.
  • Utilize industry and customer contacts to influence project requirements, positioning CB&I favorably for securing strong opportunities.
  • Manage territory and accounts to position the Company favorably for securing strong opportunities.
  • Maintain the CCS Contact Manager System (CCS CM) and keep all information accurate and current.
  • Direct business Acquisition Team Interface, ensuring effective teaming with all stakeholders in the bid process, including estimating, proposals, legal, finance, tax, or other functions.
  • Provide direction to bid teams in reaching key decisions.
  • Establish and obtain approval for pre-contract efforts and manage costs and proposal development with the team.
  • Manage all opportunity Gate review processes and obtain management approval as required.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of Company/Industry experience.
  • Typically 5-8 years since first degree and 5+ years' experience in a Business Development, Sales, Proposals, or Marketing role.
  • 3+ years' experience in an Operational role preferred.
  • Professional degree (Engineering or BS Preferred).
  • Knowledge of CB&I Storage Engineering, Fabrication, and Construction methods.
  • Experience in Commercial Contracting and Negotiations.
  • Familiarity with the Energy & Construction Industry preferred.
