DCS Corp is looking for a dedicated and proactive Technical Support Specialist to ensure seamless and effective system operations within a dynamic project environment. In this position, you will address network challenges, configure operating systems, utilize remote desktop connections for immediate assistance, and set up new desktops and laptops for users. The Technical Support Specialist is crucial in maintaining the technological tools and systems that the organization relies on for its operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.

2. Assess and troubleshoot technical problems related to hardware, software, networking, and other IT-related equipment.

3. Provide prompt technical support for users and collaborate with them to resolve ongoing issues.

4. Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions.

5. Assist users in installing and utilizing new software or hardware while working with other IT team members to address technical challenges.

6. Conduct IT maintenance tasks, software upgrades, and security patching.

7. Test and evaluate new technologies and perform smoke testing.

8. Recommend enhancements for the IT system and user training.

9. Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance.

10. Contribute to the creation and updating of user manuals and guidelines.

11. Provide training and support to users to enhance their skills and knowledge.

12. Guide clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat until issues are resolved.

13. Set up new user accounts and profiles and manage password-related issues.

14. Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.

15. Respond promptly to service issues and requests, providing in-person or remote technical support across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering is required.

A minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or a similar role.

Hands-on experience with MS Windows 11 OS, MS SQL 2019, Windows Server 2019 OS, and Army Gold Master.

Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, printers, and other technology products.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues effectively.

Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Certifications in Microsoft Windows, Cisco CCNA, Security +, and similar technologies are required.
