The Technical Systems Support Specialist is crucial in maintaining the technological resources and systems that the organization relies on for its operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve technical challenges, including account setups and network configurations.
- Assess and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, networking, and other IT-related equipment.
- Deliver prompt technical support to users and collaborate with them to resolve ongoing issues.
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions.
- Assist users in the installation and utilization of new software or hardware while working with other IT team members to address technical challenges.
- Conduct IT maintenance tasks, software updates, and security patching.
- Test and evaluate new technologies and perform smoke testing.
- Propose enhancements for the IT system and user training.
- Develop and maintain local networks to maximize performance.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of user manuals and guidelines.
- Provide training and support to users to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Guide clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat until issues are resolved.
- Establish new user accounts and profiles and manage password-related issues.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Respond promptly to service issues and requests, providing in-person or remote technical support across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
- 1+ years of demonstrated experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with MS Windows 11 OS, MS SQL 2019, Windows Server 2019 OS, and Army Gold Master.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, printers, and other technology products.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certification in Microsoft Windows, Cisco CCNA, Security + is essential, and similar technology certifications are a plus.
