Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • Oversee the operations of the Service Desk walk-in center, providing mentorship and training to junior personnel.
  • Generate analytical reports using Microsoft Excel to evaluate SLA metrics against contractual obligations and present findings to upper management.
  • Exhibit proficiency in independently diagnosing and resolving advanced technical challenges and helpdesk inquiries.
  • Prioritize and manage daily technical assistance in diverse organizational environments.
  • Collaborate with various technical teams to address and rectify large-scale technical problems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot common network and hardware/software issues utilizing both physical and logical diagnostic tools.
  • Evaluate new hardware and software solutions prior to their implementation.
  • Support areas include deployment of computing devices, application management, user account administration, print services, asset inventory, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Showcase exceptional customer service capabilities with a flexible work schedule to accommodate support needs.
  • Engage in special initiatives and unique requests, such as annual equipment refresh cycles and organization-wide upgrades, which involve liaising with customer administration and conducting hardware evaluations. Maintain accountability for property in the IT warehouse and collaborate closely with Logistics and Property Management to ensure proper documentation of equipment.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Windows-based hardware, operating systems, and printers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education & Experience:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience

Certifications:

Must possess DOD 8140/8570 compliance (e.g., Security+ CE and A+ or Microsoft Windows certifications)

Security Clearance:

Confidential clearance is required.
