Position Overview:

The Cyber Training Assessment Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the management of a comprehensive evaluation and assessment program across the Department of Defense (DoD). This position involves collaborating with various Services and Combatant Commands to ensure the dissemination of best practices and the resolution of issues at the appropriate levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the Lessons Learned Program, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and uphold evaluation standards and criteria for assessors within the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and other Joint Cyberspace operations forces, thereby facilitating USCYBERCOM operations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives to confirm alignment with objectives, reinforce Joint standards, and support the readiness assessment of Cyberspace forces.
  • Develop actionable recommendations for the Joint client regarding evaluation and assessment methodologies, tools, and standards.
  • Facilitate the validation of CMF and other USCYBERCOM assigned forces to ensure compliance with necessary training standards for executing cyberspace operations.
  • Review and enhance training objectives for collective training and exercise events, while tracking observations, evaluations, assessments, and lessons learned from both internal and external training activities.
  • Assist in the coordination and development of Joint mission essential tasks, as well as the assessment of USCYBERCOM's capability to meet established standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in support of a Combatant Command (COCOM), Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (JFHQ-C), or CMF team.
  • Proven experience in evaluating and assessing operations, exercises, and training programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing lessons learned initiatives.
  • Experience in observation and control methodologies.
  • Proficient in data-gathering techniques, including working groups, interviews, and surveys.
  • Experience in presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
