Cybersecurity Training Evaluation Expert

Position Overview:

The Cyber Training Assessment Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the management of a comprehensive evaluation and assessment program across the Department of Defense (DoD). This position involves collaborating with various Services and Combatant Commands to ensure the dissemination of best practices and the resolution of pertinent issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in managing the Lessons Learned Program.
  • Establish and uphold evaluation standards and criteria for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and other Joint Cyberspace operations forces.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet established objectives and reinforce Joint standards.
  • Offer recommendations regarding evaluation and assessment tools, processes, and standards to enhance operational readiness.
  • Review training objectives for collective training and exercise events, while tracking observations and lessons learned.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of Joint mission essential tasks and assess compliance with established standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in support of a Combatant Command, Joint Force Headquarters, or Cyber Mission Force team.
  • Proven experience in evaluating and assessing operations, exercises, and training.
  • Experience in developing and managing lessons learned initiatives.
  • Familiarity with observation and control techniques.
  • Experience in data-gathering through various methods, including interviews and surveys.
  • Ability to interact with and present information to senior leadership.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong independent working capabilities as well as teamwork skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
