Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Senior Cybersecurity Training Expert, you will be instrumental in delivering Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for a comprehensive training initiative across the Department of Defense (DoD). Your primary focus will be on ensuring that forces assigned to USCYBERCOM are proficiently trained, certified, and capable of seamless integration with other Joint Forces through effective coordination with Combatant Commands.
Your duties will encompass the establishment and maintenance of training and certification benchmarks for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and allied Joint Cyberspace operations units, thereby facilitating the successful execution of USCYBERCOM missions.
Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to confirm they align with objectives, uphold Joint standards, and bolster the readiness assessment of Cyberspace forces. Your involvement will extend to the formulation of requirements for collective training and exercise events, conducting thorough training evaluation assessments, and aiding in the identification and documentation of observations and lessons learned from training and exercise activities within USCYBERCOM and the broader Joint Force.
Moreover, you will have the opportunity to advise the Joint client on strategies, doctrines, tactics, techniques, and procedures pertinent to the collaborative deployment of Cyberspace operations forces. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the coordination and development of essential Joint mission tasks, reviewing critical mission task lists, and assessing USCYBERCOM's capabilities in meeting established Joint mission task standards. Ultimately, your contributions will be vital in ensuring that CMF and other USCYBERCOM assigned forces are thoroughly prepared to meet Combatant Command Cyberspace operations support needs effectively.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in training, with a strong emphasis on training standards and the development of training pathways.
- At least 3 years of experience in support of a Combatant Command (COCOM), Joint Function Headquarters-Cyberspace (JFHQ-C) command, Joint Duty Assignment, or CMF team.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in creating and maintaining Job Qualification Standards (JQS).
- Proficient in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in facilitating data collection through various methodologies, including working groups, interviews, and surveys.
- Ability to engage with and present briefings to senior leadership.
- Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is essential.
