Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage Cooperative Agreements, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to program managers and staff, including budget development and monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reimbursement of Cooperative Agreement expenses.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of Cooperative Agreements.
  • Collaborate with program managers and staff to identify and address financial issues and concerns.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices (GAAP) and extensive accounting experience.
  • Ability to gather and analyze complex data, prepare reports, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including exceptional Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to present integrated and detailed reports to upper management and communicate relevant data for leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Cooperative Agreement experience.
  • Prior experience using Cardinal Financials.
  • Prior experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia accounting process, CAPP Manual, and Federal regulations.
