Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Event Staff member to join our team at Truss Events. As a Banquet Event Staff, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our dining experience by providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Carry trays containing food and/or beverages, serve and bus tables to standard, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Event Support: Assist with event setup and teardown, including moving tables and chairs, and help maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.

Requirements:

  • Age: 21+ for event staff/bartending hybrid role, 17+ for event staff only.
  • Availability: Ability to work 9-hour or longer shifts on your feet, some ending late in the evening.
  • Reliability: Committed to being on time for shifts and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30 pounds or less, maneuver up and down stairs with no difficulty, and stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Soft Skills: Guest-focused, servant-minded, positive, engaging personality, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to learn.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an event environment, requiring primarily standing and walking during entire shifts. The work environment is fast-paced, and team members must be able to manage multiple priorities throughout a shift. Exposure to cold and heat may occur on a regular basis throughout a shift.

Work Hours:

Position is full-time or part-time. Schedule will vary. Occasional overtime may be required.
