Staff Neurologist and Director, Autoimmune Neurology Program provides clinical services within the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH He or she provides inpatient and outpatient neurology services, focused on treating patients with rare diseases, including autoimmune encephalitis, paraneoplastic neurological syndromes, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disorders, stiff person syndrome, and those experiencing neurological immune related events due to cancer immunotherapies.

He or she also heads the Cleveland Clinic Autoimmune Neurology Program and Research Team, overseeing and administering research and active trials within autoimmune neurology enterprise-wide.

This includes serving as the principal investigator on all ongoing trials, including the autoimmune neurology biorepository; serving as head of the research team, including neuroimmunology clinical fellows and other clinical staff; and developing and administering observational databases in collaboration with various departments and staff.


Position requires an MD or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; PhD in Neuroscience or related field or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation; completion of residency training in neurology; completion of fellowships in autoimmune neurology and multiple sclerosis (MS); and eligibility for Ohio Medical Licensure.

Successful candidates must hold associate professor or higher rank at an academic medical center; have served as a leader of a research program; and have five (5) years of research experience with a track record of peer reviewed publications within the field of autoimmune neurology.
