Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to join our team at Westminster Communities of Florida. As a key member of our dining services management team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a high-quality dining program for our residents, staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire operations of the kitchen(s), ensuring efficient and effective food production and service.
  • Oversee the purchase of food, food supplies, and equipment, adhering to specific budget objectives.
  • Supervise meal preparation, presentation, and quality, ensuring accurate reproduction of recipes by cooks and prep staff.
  • Perform food inventory and/or place orders as required, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of ingredients.
  • Ensure that training, safety, and discipline standards are met, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for kitchen staff compliance with sanitation and food safety standards, adhering to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2-Year Accredited Culinary Degree or College Degree in a related subject required; Specialized certification/degree at an approved culinary school; and 6 years similar experience in a high-volume, hospitality-oriented, and customer-service-focused environment.
  • ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days from date of hire.
  • Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office, and data-base types of menu systems for menu forecasting, menu building, and recipe creation.
  • Supervisory leadership and ability to hold effective meetings.
  • Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida.
  • Ability to work as a member of the dining services management team.
