Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with loan applicants to gather information regarding their financial needs and circumstances.
  • Evaluate the financial status of members to assess the risk associated with extending credit.
  • Make informed decisions to approve or deny loan applications, or escalate them for further review.
  • Provide detailed explanations of loan programs, assess member needs, and recommend suitable loan options.
  • Establish and communicate the terms and conditions of approved loans to members.
  • Ensure all loan documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Authorize modifications to existing loan terms as necessary.
  • Engage in sales development initiatives.
  • Monitor current loans for compliance with established terms and collaborate with collections as needed.
  • Stay updated on trends in consumer credit.
Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of relevant experience in loan documentation, underwriting policies, and compliance. Proven ability to manage multiple loans and meet deadlines.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Interpersonal Skills:

This role involves significant interaction with individuals both inside and outside the organization, requiring strong conflict resolution skills, relationship-building abilities, and a high degree of confidentiality.

Additional Skills:

Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyze members' financial situations. Proficiency in ten-key, calculators, and keyboarding.

Physical Requirements:

This position primarily involves sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be able to operate standard office equipment and perform computer work for extended periods.

Work Schedule:

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Compensation:

Hourly pay ranges from $19.00 to $26.00, depending on experience. Additional monthly and annual incentives may be available.
