Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Specialist in the Women's Center, you will be an integral part of our friendly and empathetic women's imaging and breast imaging team. We take pride in delivering care that feels like family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all general ultrasound procedures, including abdominal ultrasounds, DVT studies, pelvic ultrasounds, obstetrics, small parts, and breast imaging.
  • Ensure adherence to exam protocols that provide essential diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.
  • Assist radiologists during biopsy procedures with proficiency and confidence.
  • Possess a solid understanding of life-saving techniques and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Exhibit knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information based on patient needs.
  • Work independently, as you will be the sole sonographer on shift.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Ultrasonographer, or RDMS OB/GYN Specialty
  • Current Radiology license in the state of employment.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
