Apex Systems is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support for our clients. This role involves working with various hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Position Overview:

The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for:

  • Repairing, testing, imaging, and cleaning computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and related equipment.
  • Maintaining, analyzing, and troubleshooting software and peripheral devices, with the ability to set up and configure all hardware.
  • Managing assets effectively, including installations, relocations, additions, and changes, particularly during large-scale events such as printer migrations and PC refreshes.
  • Ensuring that all support tickets requiring follow-up actions receive the necessary attention.
  • Assisting with the installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and maintenance of server equipment.
  • Executing backup, recovery, and security procedures, whether planned or in response to emergencies.
  • Following established protocols to detect, diagnose, and report outages of critical applications.
  • Assisting in diagnosing network hardware and performance issues, and performing approved installations and configurations of physical networks.
  • Providing in-person technical support to end users, ensuring effective communication and assistance.
  • Contributing to the development and documentation of process improvements.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to resolve technical issues faced by end users.
  • Supporting the Site Leader in executing established processes and managing escalations.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Working effectively in an enterprise environment.
  • Being physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, crawling, and laying down to support customer systems.
  • Remaining on foot and walking throughout the day while visiting customer work areas.
