Position Overview:

The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PC hardware and software, as well as supporting server and network equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs, testing, imaging, and cleaning of PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other related devices.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot software issues and computer peripherals, ensuring proper setup and configuration of all hardware.
  • Manage asset tracking, including installation, relocation, and changes, with a focus on large-scale IMAC events for printer migration and PC refreshes.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all support tickets requiring additional work or communication.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of server equipment.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and security protocols, both proactively and in response to emergencies.
  • Follow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and report outages of critical applications.
  • Support network hardware diagnostics and performance troubleshooting, performing approved installations and maintenance of physical networks.
  • Provide in-person technical support to end users, ensuring effective communication and assistance.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of process improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues faced by end users.
  • Support Site Leaders in executing established processes and managing escalations.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Work within an enterprise environment.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, crawling, and lying down to support computer systems.
  • Maintain mobility throughout the workday, visiting various work areas as needed.
