Court Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Douglas County. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our court operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our office and providing exceptional customer service to the public.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our court operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and process court documents, including filings, notices, and other legal documents.
- Calendar Management: Manage multiple court calendars, scheduling hearings and trials, and communicating with litigants and court staff.
- Communication: Respond to inquiries and provide information to the public, attorneys, and court staff in a courteous and effective manner.
- Office Management: Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including managing supplies, equipment, and other resources.
- Notary Services: Provide notary services as needed, ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of documents.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Attendance: Report to work with regular, consistent attendance, ensuring the smooth functioning of our office.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of professional office experience in business, court, or legal work preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications, including Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
- Certifications: Notary certification required; successful completion of pre-employment criminal record check and drug screening test required.

- Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift and/or carry equipment, supplies, and other materials weighing up to 25 lbs., and to occasionally lift and/or carry equipment, supplies, and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Vision and Hearing: Correctable to normal ranges, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
