We are a licensed 245D program dedicated to providing support services for individuals facing mental health challenges, brain injuries, or substance use issues. Our facilities include group homes and individual apartment settings, focusing on rehabilitative services aimed at helping individuals achieve their personal independence goals.
Work Schedule: 7am-3pm on designated days.
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Role of Support Care Specialists:
Support Care Specialists (SCS) deliver a range of essential services to our residents. Responsibilities may vary based on the specific program but typically include:
- Providing personal care services to residents as needed
- Teaching and reinforcing essential life skills
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
- Supporting residents in hobbies, educational pursuits, and social interactions
- Administering medications
- Engaging in enjoyable recreational activities with residents
Essential Skills for Support Care Specialists:
- No formal degree required: A High School diploma (or equivalent) and being over 18 years old are sufficient; prior experience is not necessary
- SCS are people-oriented: they assist individuals in enhancing their caregiver skills and strive to improve their overall quality of life
- SCS are adaptable and flexible: they thrive in roles that involve varied tasks and dynamic work environments
- They are reliable: providing consistent and high-quality personal care assistance
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks (such as dressing, bathing, and toileting)
- Valid US driver's license
- Basic computer proficiency
