Bar Support Specialist

Spoon and Stable is seeking a dedicated Bar Support Specialist to enhance our beverage service operations. The Bar Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the bar and lounge, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. This position requires agility, efficiency, and a keen ability to adapt to changing priorities. A foundational understanding of food, spirits, beer, and wine is essential, along with a desire to expand knowledge in the art of bartending.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Restocking juice, syrup, and batch bottles during service hours
  • Assisting in the closure of the bar area, which includes sweeping, mopping, managing waste, and performing general cleaning tasks
  • Changing kegs and aiding in the stocking of spirits and beer
  • Polishing and replenishing glassware throughout service
  • Clearing plates and glassware from the bar and lounge areas
  • Marking tables for food service
  • Potentially assisting with bar preparation tasks, such as making syrups, cutting garnishes, and batching cocktails
  • Delivering and describing dishes to guests, while addressing menu inquiries
  • Providing tableside service support in lounge and patio areas


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and think clearly under pressure
  • Capability to move swiftly and gracefully behind the bar
  • Understanding of ingredients and culinary techniques
  • Developing knowledge of wines
  • Growing familiarity with cocktail ingredients and preparation methods

This role offers eligibility for a share of the hospitality charge collected on guest checks. Benefits include paid time off, health, dental, accident, and life insurance plans after a specified period of employment. A 401(k) retirement plan with company matching is available after one year of service.
